Data Entry Barcodes
In order to be able to enter the job data (Height, Width, Moulding No Etc) solely by scanning barcodes (rather than by keyboard entry), the data entry barcodes must first be printed. The Data Entry barcodes are printed on plain A4 paper, a label printer is not required.
Height and Width
Height and width barcode rulers are printed from the Excel spreadsheet provided. The half inch increments of the rulers may have to be adjusted for accuracy by trial and error to suit your own particular printer. A row height of 37.1 produced a reasonably accurate scale, on the HP1200 laser printer in which it was tested.
Mouldings
Moulding barcodes are printed from the Stocked Moulding Screen
Frame Elements
In addition to barcodes for the various user defined elements - Mountboard Type, Glass Type, Fix Type, and Mount Decoration - barcode lists of Border Widths, and Quantities are also produced.
Border Widths
After the aperture Height and Width have been entered (by either keyboard or scanner), the border dimensions can be automatically added by scanning the appropriate Border Width barcode. To amend the border dimensions, scan in a new Border Width barcode.
Quantities
After one of - Mount Type, Glass Type, Fix Type, or Mount Decoration - has been scanned, scan the appropriate quantity from the Quantity list.
Mount Decoration
The Mount Decoration window will automatically close after 10 seconds.
